the bee

this weeks homework is to make a mind map about the question,why the bee flies to the painting, instead of the real flowers. I do it starting with giving ideas, about this question, the work is well down, the bee is interested in the painting, it;s not a real bee, and so on.Than I stopped giving ideas, but do some research to find about some scientific limit. And I found that bees finding things more using the smells. So than i give more possible reasons.

learning from partners

At this time's drawing fundamentals course, we need to finish an A3 work about drawing some furry things, like animals, toys and so on, by using the material like white charcoal or any kind of white materials. At first one I really didn't find out how can I finish a furry drawing by charcoal, which is very challenge, i can't change my mind from using black pencils to some white charcoal, and I can't finish my drawing. But after fewer practice and looking about how my roommate finish her work,I try more parts of not only draw things out, but to rub，and i works well. I notices the importance of learning from the partners which may helps a lots most of the times.

Nicole Schusters

This series of design is made by Nicole Schusters. She inspiration lies in the relation of nature and culture, as an opposite. Also Nicole Schusters explores about the growth and change about the beauty, is it a cycle? A endless process? When I look at these series of jewelry, I wonder that whether it belongs to the world we lived, I looks like a poetic place, abstract landscape or organism from another time. These caught my eyes as the first place and looking more about it.

what's beauty

These group of photos are taken by Romina Ressia, an Argentine photographer, her very new series of photos, “what is beauty” questioning people about what meaning by pretty, is beauty a changeless idea in everyone’s mind? A slimly people are beautiful? Fat? Old? Young? Women should dress like female is beautiful? What about the female who prefer to dress more male like, is what they are ugly? It’s same as designs and our life. We can make every one satisfied, so the only thing we can do is to try our best and make ourselves satisfied, also the one have the same value.

cool

This group of work is taken by Bai wen yan a Chinese photographer of the magazine. These group of work is named “waiting for one cool time.” First look at the photos, I feels cool and peaceful, and that I start to questioning myself about why I feels like that? The color? The way of shooting? I think all of them affects. Photos with most in cold color, twilight time periods, water and so on.

week 4

In the week 4 lesson, we talk about a photo, with an old church and a modern building on it. Using the way of group work, to help giving ideas. Our member talk about what they think, see and wonder about the picture. In our group, most of the ideas are the same, in see and thinking, but in wonder, there are several good ideas from some of the members. And I find out the help of group work help of give high quality work. 

Koen Lybaert

This series of design is made by Koen Lybaert, who is a contemporary art painter, born 1965 in Wilrijk, Belgium. In his work there is many abstract and landscape, about Woods, lakes, mountains, sea and desolate landscapes which all can be his main inspiration. Looking through all these work, more beautiful the view is, more makes me thinking about the environment that we lived, thinking about why we can’t find about such a pretty views ourselves most of the time.

the church

This picture I took in Campus 2 after the 2d class. Seeing through the window, there are builds, tall and modern building, which is not same but looking balance in the photo. But when I pay more attention on it, there is a Church, which really look nice and perfectly join the view. Nowadays, in the modern society people used to both modern and classic at the same time. Just it art and design, when people are always talking about creating new things, people also thinking about and making classic design.

UP AND UP

I found these group of work on UNC which is an organization in China about photography and va. These group of works is created by an artist named Blank, named UP and UP. Where is no description about the work by Blank himself but they make me feels a lot, about how wonderful the universe is and how wonderful the world we lived is. Also the interesting ways he chooses to use makes me wonder, how can I improve my work.

stones

This series of design is made by Regine Schwarzer, who is an Austrian artist, who discovers his passion for rocks and minerals which occur in abundance his home town. Also he studying to cut and process the stones in Australia. According to his words, these really normal stones in Australia have their own price in visual. Which moves me, all the works nice and attract me, even compare with all the twinkling jewelries.
